Mentoring & Coaching

Real support. Real skills. Real progress.

At Linking the Next Steps VIC, we offer a series of structured 1:1 (one-on-one) coaching sessions and 1:4 (one-on-four) small-group coaching sessions designed to support neurodivergent people — and anyone who feels they need assistance.

No one falls through the GAP!

Our goal is to help you build confidence, independence, and real-life skills in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering. These supports can be funded through the NDIS under Core Supports or Capacity Building Supports, depending on your individual plan.

Our coaching focuses on practical, everyday skills that help participants navigate life safely, confidently, and independently — always in alignment with the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards, including person-centred practice, dignity, choice, safety, and informed decision-making.

**We don’t take over.

We don’t decide for you.
We walk alongside you as you take your next step.**

Why It Matters

Because achieving independence and reaching your goals takes more than simply having supports — it requires skills, confidence, planning, and consistent action.
A Mentor or Coach helps bridge the gap between:

“What I want” → “How I’ll get there.”

Who It’s For

Mentoring & Coaching is suitable for NDIS participants who:

  • Are building independence, daily living or social skills

  • Would benefit from guidance, motivation, and structured support

  • Are working toward personal development, community participation, learning or work-related goals

  • Need help navigating services and using their NDIS plan confidently

  • Prefer a person-centred, strengths-based, empowering approach

Your journey. Your pace. Your next steps.

How Mentoring & Coaching Works With Support Coordination

  • Support Coordination helps you set up and organise the supports in your NDIS plan.

  • Mentoring & Coaching helps you learn how to use those supports, build skills, and reach your goals.

Together, these services ensure you not only have the right supports — but also know how to use them confidently.

How It Works

  • Your mentor meets you exactly where you’re at.

  • Some weeks it’s planning.

  • Some weeks it’s practising.

  • Some weeks it’s celebrating the fact that you showed up — or the achievements you’ve reached.

We don’t push you — we guide you.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and gather, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and this land always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. We honour the enduring connection to this land and the ongoing cultural and spiritual practices that continue to enrich our community.
