At Linking the Next Steps VIC, our mission is to provide personalised, holistic support services that empower neurodiverse individuals and their families to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and independence. We are committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where everyone has the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive, regardless of the challenges they may face.

Our core belief is that every individual deserves the chance to reach their full potential. That’s why we offer a wide range of services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, with a particular focus on those navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We understand that the NDIS can be a complicated system to navigate, and our expert team works closely with participants to simplify the process and ensure they can access the resources and support they need. Whether it’s through one-on-one Support Coordination or guiding individuals through the maze of administrative tasks, we are here to help them achieve their goals and advocate for their rights.

We recognise that the journey to independence and well-being is often intertwined with mental health challenges, and that is why our Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is a cornerstone of our service offering. With our team’s extensive lived experience in managing mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and other psychosocial disabilities, we offer compassionate guidance and practical strategies that empower participants to develop resilience, build coping mechanisms, and lead fulfilling lives. Our approach is person-centered, focusing not just on overcoming challenges but on harnessing each individual’s strengths and aspirations to foster long-term recovery and self-sufficiency.

In addition to mental health and NDIS support, we are dedicated to helping individuals develop critical life skills that will serve them well in both personal and professional settings. Our workshops—such as the Bridging the Gap program—are specifically designed to build knowledge and confidence in key areas like workplace dynamics, communication, and health and safety. The Bridging the Gap program, which also qualifies for NDIS funding under School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), provides young adults with the skills needed to confidently navigate the workplace and secure meaningful employment. Participants engage in real-world simulations, interactive learning modules, and hands-on activities that help build practical skills in areas such as hospitality, office administration, and entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to empower participants with not only technical skills but also the confidence to succeed in the modern job market.

We also acknowledge the importance of family support in the neurodiversity journey, which is why we offer tailored workshops for neurodiverse parents, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to advocate for their children’s needs and navigate the complex systems of support available. Our workshops address unique life stages for many neurodiverse individuals, offering practical guidance and support for managing the physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges that can arise during this time.

At Linking the Next Steps VIC, we believe in creating a well-rounded support system that promotes independence, confidence, and a fulfilling life. From school holiday programs that engage young children and NDIS participants in social and community activities to administrative support services that assist individuals in managing everyday tasks, we are committed to providing the comprehensive, person-centered services that neurodiverse individuals and their families need to thrive. Through each of our programs, we aim to bridge gaps, remove barriers, and create pathways for success—empowering individuals to live their best lives.

Our mission is not just about providing services; it’s about creating lasting change. We are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we support, and we are honoured to walk alongside them on their journey toward greater independence, health, and happiness.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and gather, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and this land always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. We honour the enduring connection to this land and the ongoing cultural and spiritual practices that continue to enrich our community.
